During the summer, senior Emma Brown stayed busy in her craft of golf.
A week before school, she participated in a competition where she placed first.
“It was a difficult course, and I had never played there before,” Brown said.
The following Tuesday, Brown placed second in a competition, and last Wednesday she hit a 37 to secure first place.
“The girls I played against are extremely good golfers,” Brown said. “I like to win, so beating them was fun.
“I played against them all summer in summer tournaments, so it’s a good environment when your friends with everyone on the course.”
Brown is the captain for the girls team, and she joins head coach Tyler Lane and assistant coach Logan Peterson as the team’s new leadership for the year.
