Dance team heads to national competition hoping to defend first national title

Bearden’s dance team returns to UDA Nationals this week, where they will be defending a national title in pom and top five finish in jazz. This year, the team will also compete in an all new category called “Game Day.” This category allows dance teams to showcase the routines that they perform on Bearden’s own sidelines.

Bearden’s girls basketball team has had a recent history of infiltrating top talent at the collegiate level. For example, 2018 graduate Grace Van Rij is now a freshman at Furman University.
